Milaidhoo clinches fourth straight Baa Zone title at Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup
The Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 Baa Zone concluded with a final held at Royal Island Resort & Spa, where Milaidhoo Maldives secured a 4–2 victory over The Nautilus Maldives. The result marked Milaidhoo’s fourth consecutive Baa Zone title and confirmed their place in the forthcoming Zone Semi-Final.
The evening opened with a ceremony that included remarks from Tekkers Director Dr Hussain Sunny Umar. Chief guests Paul Van Frank, General Manager of Milaidhoo Maldives, and Nasrulla Ali, General Manager of Royal Island Resort & Spa, attended the event. The proceedings featured the national anthem, player greetings by the chief guests, and the official signing of the match ball.
The final proved to be a closely contested match. Milaidhoo took a two-goal lead in the first half, before The Nautilus reduced the deficit with a goal in the closing moments. In the second half, Milaidhoo extended their lead with two more goals, while The Nautilus managed another, ending the game 4–2 in favour of Milaidhoo. The win ensured that Milaidhoo retained the Baa Atoll Champion title.
An award ceremony followed the match to recognise individual and team achievements. Mohamed Ajufaan of Milaidhoo was named Final Man of the Match, while Royal Island Resort & Spa received the Fair Play Team award. Milaidhoo’s Mohamed Solah was recognised as Best Coach, and Adam Naseer of Milaidhoo took the award for Best Goalkeeper. The Top 5 Players of the tournament included Mohamed Ajufaan and Adam Naseer of Milaidhoo, Hassan Naail Dawood of Vakkaru Maldives, Mohamed Siman of The Nautilus, and Ahmed Sobah of The Nautilus. The award for Top Scorer went to Milaidhoo’s Mohamed Rafhan, who was also named Best Player of the Tournament. The Nautilus Maldives were presented with the Runner-Up trophy, while Milaidhoo were awarded the Champion’s trophy.
With the conclusion of the Baa Zone, preparations now move to the Zone Semi-Final and Zone Final, scheduled for 27 August 2025 at Royal Island Resort. The Semi-Final will see Joali Maldives, the Raa Zone Champion, face Milaidhoo Maldives, the Baa Zone Champion. The winner will progress to the Zone Final against Velaa Private Island, the Noonu Zone Champion.
