BML recognised for digital finance and sustainable finance

Bank of Maldives (BML) received two awards at the Maldives Financial Sector Awards held on Wednesday evening.

The awards, presented by the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), recognised the bank’s work in digital banking and sustainable finance.

BML received:

• Excellence in Digital Finance and Innovation, recognising its contribution to the development of digital banking services and financial technology.
• Excellence in Green and Sustainable Finance, recognising its work in providing financial products and services that support environmental sustainability.

The Maldives Financial Sector Awards were established by the MMA to recognise the achievements of institutions operating within the country’s financial sector.

In a statement, BML said the awards reflect the bank’s contribution to the development of the Maldivian financial system and its efforts to expand sustainable financial services.
