BML supports coral restoration through planting activity at Niva Kurumba Maldives

Bank of Maldives has participated in a coral planting activity at Niva Kurumba Maldives, supporting ongoing efforts to protect and restore the country’s marine ecosystems.

BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, members of the Bank’s leadership team, staff and tourists staying at Niva Kurumba Maldives participated in the activity, contributing to the resort’s coral restoration efforts.

Niva Kurumba Maldives provides an opportunity for individuals to take part in coral planting and contribute directly to marine conservation and reef restoration.

BML has previously supported coral planting and restoration initiatives across the Maldives, including a project by the Vaadhoo Association for Future Development in G.Dh. Vaadhoo and the Muraka Farm initiative in B. Dharavandhoo.

The activity at Niva Kurumba Maldives builds on these efforts and reflects the Bank’s continued commitment to environmental sustainability, marine conservation and protecting the Maldives’ fragile coral reef ecosystems for future generations.
