Centara Hotels & Resorts name Kamal Chaoui as group director of operations for Centara Grand properties

The premium resorts consist of the Centara Grand tier, the company’s five star brand. The appointment comes at a time when the Hotels & Resorts corporate operations team is infusing the company with some new energy in order to help them grow.

Chaoui previously worked at the Dusit Thani, Abu Dhabi, as the general manager. He has also gained many years of experience working at the Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, the InterContinental Hotel Group, and the Berjaya Hotels and Resorts.

Chaoui, a French national with more than 29 years of experience, kicked off his career with  the Hyatt International Corporation where he spent 16 years in various positions worldwide. He brings a wealth of knowledge and global perspective that will help in further developing brand standards and operational quality at Centara Grand Resorts, the company’s press release stated.

Following this statement  comes the announcement of two new appointments at the resort. Firstly, Austin Robinson as the area general manager Phuket overseeing Centara Karon Resort Phuket, Waterfront Suites Phuket by Centara, and Centara Kata Resort Phuket to the group director of operations, responsible for properties in East Thailand and Vietnam.

And secondly, Harry Thaliwal as group director of operations, responsible for South Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bali and the COSI portfolio.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
