Dhiraagu among top workplaces in Maldives with Great Place to Work recognition
Dhiraagu has been recognised as a Great Place to Work, reflecting the company’s continued investment in employee experience, professional development, and an inclusive, people-first workplace culture.
Great Place to Work Certification is awarded to organisations that meet globally recognised benchmarks for employee experience. It is evaluated through the Trust Index Survey, which measures trust, fairness, respect, pride, and the consistency of the employee experience across the organisation.
Dhiraagu is one of the few organisations in the Maldives to achieve this prestigious recognition this year, and among a few telecommunication companies in the Asian region that have earned Great Place to Work Certification in 2025.
Speaking at a special celebration held for Dhiraagu employees on Wednesday, CEO & MD of Dhiraagu, Ismail Rasheed, stated, “We are proud to have achieved the Great Place to Work certification. This recognition reflects our values, our culture, and the way we care for and empower our people, serve our customers and community. With this international recognition, we have set a benchmark and reaffirmed that Dhiraagu is not just a leader in technology but also a people’s leader.”
The Director of Human Resource of Dhiraagu, Azha Zameer shared “This certification is a testament to the dedication of our colleagues and the strong workplace culture we have built together, one that rewards performance, supports growth, and prioritises the wellbeing of our people. We are incredibly proud of this achievement, and we will continue to create opportunities and a workplace where everyone can contribute, grow, and thrive.”
Dhiraagu offers a wide range of employee-focused programmes, including professional development initiatives, comprehensive employee benefits, mental wellbeing support, and engagement programmes across all operating centres. With 99.9% of its workforce being local, the company continues to prioritise building a supportive, inclusive, and locally skilled workforce through structured learning pathways, leadership development, and initiatives that promote work-life balance and employee wellbeing.
