Dhiraagu Gamers Guild launches season 2 with exciting lineup of activities
Dhiraagu Gamers Guild (DGG), the Maldives’ largest gaming platform, officially launched its Season 2 Opening Event at Dhiraagu Head Office on 31 January 2026.
The DGG Season 2 Opening unveiled an exciting lineup of tournaments, gaming community initiatives, and activities planned for the year ahead. The event kicked off Season 2 with interactive gaming activities, refreshments and coffee, and a lively performance by local music band Fenfulhi.
Reflecting on its milestones in 2025, DGG marked a year of remarkable growth and impact within the local gaming ecosystem. The Guild expanded its community to over 11,000 registered gamers, distributed MVR 350,000 in prize pools, and awarded gamers with more than MVR 150,000 worth of giveaways. The year also saw the successful hosting of 17 tournaments across 13 gaming titles, along with the largest gaming event of its kind in the Maldives – Dhiraagu Maldives Gaming Conquest that took place in August 2025. These achievements reaffirm DGG’s leadership in shaping and advancing competitive gaming in the Maldives.
Looking ahead to 2026, DGG aims to elevate the gaming experience further by delivering more community-powered tournaments, expanding beyond traditional gaming activities, and hosting its first international online tournament. During the event, DGG also announced the launch of its Leaderboards, along with Guild features set to go live within the year, further enhancing engagement, and competition within the gaming community.
In addition, DGG recognised its valued partners during the event with tokens of appreciation, acknowledging their continued support in developing and strengthening the e-gaming ecosystem in the Maldives.
