Dhiraagu Maldives Junior Open 2025 badminton tournament to commence on 1 September
The Dhiraagu Maldives Junior Open 2025 badminton tournament will begin on Monday, 1 September 2025, and will continue until 6 September 2025 at the Kulhivaru Ekuveni Badminton Hall.
Organised by The Badminton Club, the tournament provides a platform for young athletes to demonstrate their abilities. A total of 347 players from eight countries, including 30 international athletes, are scheduled to compete in 733 matches over the course of the event.
The competition is structured into six age categories: under 9, under 11, under 13, under 15 and under 19. This enables athletes across a range of age groups to take part and display their skills. In addition, the tournament includes a Para/Special Olympics category, encouraging inclusivity and ensuring opportunities for all athletes to participate.
Dhiraagu continues to support the development of sports in the Maldives, with a particular emphasis on encouraging healthier and more active communities.
