Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race 2025 corporate team category open for registration
Dhiraagu recently hosted members from various organisations for a productive session to reflect on how the upcoming Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR) 2025 can inspire workplaces to promote fitness and embrace the spirit of running with a purpose.
The corporate team category introduced in 2024 allows teams of four to represent their organisation at DMRR. All resorts, government institutions, state-owned enterprises, and private sector employees are eligible to register 4-member teams to represent their respective organisations.
Each team registering for the run will be charged a fee of MVR 1,000, while teams paying via Dhiraagu Pay will be charged MVR 800. The registration fee includes a complete running kit comprising a runner’s T-shirt, BIB with timing chip, bag, and a finisher medal. Additionally, MVR 100 from each runner’s fee will be donated to NGOs.
Winners in the corporate team category will be determined based on the total time tallied by each team member. Each participant is given the standard 5K team category timeframe of 45 minutes to complete the race. The prize pool for this category includes;
- Champion Team: MVR 10,000
- Runner-up Team: MVR 8,000
- Second Runner-up Team: MVR 6,000
DMRR is the first and only international run held in the Maldives, officially registered in AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) and listed in the AIMS World Running calendar. This year’s Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race is scheduled to take place on 24th October 2025, Friday at Hulhumale’ Central Park.
The marathon is dedicated to raising funds for a social cause each year, and this year’s event will once again focus on child protection. Proceeds from the registration fees will be allocated to NGOs working in the field of child protection.
Dhiraagu stated that registrations will remain open until the event reaches a total of 4,000 participants.
