Dhiraagu raises over MVR 213,000 through Ramadan donation initiatives

Dhiraagu has successfully raised and contributed a total of MVR 213,998 through the‘Donate a Meal’ and ‘Donate to a Family’ initiatives conducted during Ramadan via DhiraaguPay. This includes Dhiraagu’s direct contribution of MVR 180,000 in support of both initiatives, further complemented by additional donations from customers via DhiraaguPay.

Dhiraagu partnered with the Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives for “Donate a Meal”initiative to support the distribution of meal packs to migrant workers near mosques across the Greater Malé Region, where Dhiraagu employees also actively volunteered in the distribution. The company contributed 1,000 meal packs to kick-start the initiative, while customers further supported the cause via DhiraaguPay.

In partnership with Mom’s Aid, the ‘Donate to a Family’ initiative enabled customers to support the Ramadan Aid programme, benefiting families in need across the Maldives. Dhiraagu supported 100 families with care baskets with essential food items, with additional contributions made by customers via DhiraaguPay. The initiative placed a special focus on single mothers and families caring for children with disabilities.
