‘Forever Independent’: Dhiraagu showcases national pride through street art
Dhiraagu has marked the 60th Independence Day of the Maldives with a series of Street Exhibitions held across islands nationwide.
The exhibition, inspired by the company’s 2025 calendar Minivankan Mathee Abadhah (Forever Independent), showcases various national symbols and features artwork that celebrates the Maldives’ vibrant culture and enduring traditions. The initiative was launched to commemorate six decades of Maldivian independence.
“We are honoured to celebrate this historic 60-year milestone by showcasing the rich culture and heritage of the Maldives, while bringing communities together through this nationwide initiative,” said Naiya Shareef, Manager of Brand and Events at Dhiraagu.
In Malé, the street art exhibition took place from 27–28 July 2025. Simultaneous exhibitions were held from 26–27 July 2025 in Hulhumalé, Gn. Fuvahmulah, Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi, L. Gan, Gdh. Thinadhoo, S. Hithadhoo, Adh. Dhangethi, and B. Eydhafushi.
