Kuramathi introduces the Kalari Massage
Exciting news for health buffs as Kuramathi Island Resort introduces the Kalari treatment at Kuramathi Spa. Featuring the raw elements of age-old Indian therapy, this ritual polishes the body by exfoliating dead skin with a green gram scrub.
The Kalari Massage involves a full body treatment with the application of specific flowing massage techniques using warm herbal oils and compresses, vital energy point therapy, followed by a relaxing head massage.
The Massage with the use of oil, traditionally called ‘Abhyanga’, allows for nourishment of the muscles and skin, improves flexibility and strengthens all the organ systems. In the massage, the ‘marma’ are identified and addressed. These points are vital energy centers on the body that connect the organs, muscles and channels, and are often sites where toxins and stagnated energy accumulate causing blockages.
Some of the benefits of the Kalari Massage include:
- Improves the Circulatory, Digestive, Nervous, Lymphatic and Immune Systems
- Stimulates the elimination of toxins
- Aids in relieving muscle tension
- Balances the Chakras and Energy Channels
- Relaxes and Energizes the Body and Mind
