MACL bids farewell to Shaheema Hussain and Mohamed Solah after decades of service
The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) held a heartfelt farewell ceremony yesterday to honour two of its longest-serving employees, Company Secretary Shaheema Hussain and former Chief Development Officer Mohamed Solah, as they entered retirement.
Shaheema Hussain concluded an impressive 46-year career with MACL, making her the longest-serving employee in the company’s history. She has also held the position of company secretary for an unprecedented 15 years, establishing a legacy as the longest-serving company secretary in MACL’s and the government’s history.
Mohamed Solah, who retired after 20 years of dedicated service, also received accolades for his significant contributions to the organisation during his tenure.
The farewell event was marked by the presentation of plaques to both Shaheema and Solah, a gesture of appreciation made by MACL’s CEO and Managing Director, Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed. In his address, Shareef praised their commitment and invaluable contributions to the company, emphasising the impact they have made over the years.
The retirement of Shaheema and Solah signifies the conclusion of a remarkable chapter in MACL’s history and serves as a reminder of the dedication and expertise that have shaped the company over the decades.
