MAHRP honours top HR leaders, organisations at inaugural Excellence Awards

The Maldives Association of Human Resources Professionals (MAHRP) last night hosted a gala event to recognise outstanding achievements in human resource management at its inaugural HR Excellence Awards. The ceremony, held at Villa College QI Campus, celebrated the best of the HR professionals in the Maldives.

The MAHRP HR Excellence Award is the first of its kind in the country and aims to recognise and reward exceptional contributions to human capital development. The winners were selected through a rigorous judging and review process.

In his opening remarks, MAHRP President and Founder, Ahmed Ibrahim, underscored the critical role of HR leaders in driving the Maldives’ service economy. He emphasised the need for community leaders to prioritise human capital development and support the nation’s economic growth.

The awards were presented across two main categories: individuals and organisations.

  • Excellence in Workplace Culture: Total Transport Solutions Maldives Pvt Ltd
  • Excellence in Talent Development: Constance Moofushi Maldives
  • Excellence in Employee Wellness & Wellbeing: State Trading Organisation
  • Excellence in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI): Maldives Transport & Contracting Company
  • Excellence in HR Tech: Maldives Transport & Contracting Company Plc
  • Most People Focused Leader: Mohamed Rasheed, Donbez Pvt Ltd

Individual Winners

  • Outstanding HR Leader of the Year: Ahmed Asbaab, Aminath Shaaly and Ibrahim Shaheem
  • Emerging HR Leader: Aminath Irasha and Ali Shaukath
  • Excellence in Women HR Leadership: Dr Fathimath Muna, Annepaul Vemagiri and Aminath Shaaly

The event was a resounding success, bringing together HR professionals from across the Maldives to celebrate their industry and recognise the achievements of their peers. MAHRP is committed to continuing to elevate the HR profession and supporting the development of human capital in the Maldives.
