Mini-Sports Court at Hulhule Island Hotel

Right beside the jetty, an imposing multi-sports court has come up recently at Hulhule Island Hotel; recipient of a handful of national and international awards. Overlooking the ocean, it’s a perfect place to sweat with the setting sun adding a subtle charm to the entire place. It is a modern, multipurpose court which could engage guests with a sport of their liking: basketball, futsal and many more. Inaugurated sometime back, it is chic and functional, and complies with the relevant standards.2

The first sports activity on this newly created sports court was the much hyped Inter-House Futsal tournament in which all the teams participated with much enthusiasm. Both the participants and audience enjoyed every match played there. Seen below are the finalists (Midhili House and Nika House) before the match. Both teams were geared up for this event and gave their best. The match was action packed and full of excitement with both Houses trying to score at every possible opportunity.

Team Midhili outplayed Team Nika, winning the match by 5–2. Mixed emotions followed the match and Midhili became the champions of the first tournament played in the Multi-sports court at HIH. Captain and team of Midhili can be seen receiving the trophy from Utkarsh Faujdar, General Manager of HIH in the picture below.1

Hulhule Island Hotel has been consistently receiving international awards and the hotel recently won the prestigious award of ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Leisure Hotel’ at the World Travel Awards for Africa & Indian Ocean this year. For the third year running, the hotel also won laurels at the World Travel Awards, which is considered to be the Oscars of the travel Industry.

Utkarsh Faujdar, General Manager of HIH says, “Winning laurels at World Travel Awards over the last three years is extremely gratifying, it is reflective of the excellence of products and services that Team HIH offers. It is a reward for the team’s efforts”.
