Taj Coral Reef Resort & Spa appoints Nitin Walia as Resort Manager

Taj Coral Reef Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Nitin Walia as Resort Manager. A seasoned hospitality professional, Nitin has been associated with Taj group for over 15 years, with successful stints across celebrated city hotels and destination resorts. 

“Maldives has always been close to my heart and I’m honoured to join the amazing team at an iconic resort that defines Maldivian natural beauty,” says Nitin. “I’m particularly inspired by the award-winning environmental protection and conservation program and look forward to strengthening it further, while crafting incredible island adventures for guests.”

Nitin hails from New Delhi, India. He joined Taj in 2008 as a Hotel Operations Management Trainee and worked up to becoming an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager in India before taking up his first international assignment, as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Taj Exotica, Maldives in 2017. In 2020, he was promoted as Director of Food & Beverage at Taj Exotica, Maldives. 

Nitin brings sharp insights, strategic planning, meticulous execution and an unerring human-first approach to Taj Coral Reef Resort & Spa. In his tenure at the Taj, he has led multi-cultural teams and nurtured an instinctive flair for surpassing guest expectations. At every stage of his career, he has steered his department and hotel to perform, meet annual targets and develop new streams of business. 

A dynamic young man, Nitin is known to temper ambition with inclusivity and diversity, creating value in each sphere of life. In his free time, he takes the opportunity to travel and spend quality time with family and friends. He’s a voracious reader and enjoys listening to music.
