Two Palms wins PR account for resort business Club Med

Two Maldives resorts will benefit from a PR deal struck to promote Club Med in the changing market

Club Med which has over 70 resorts worldwide, including two properties in the Maldives, has appointed Two Palms to its public relations account, following a competitive pitch process.

All-inclusive family resort Club Med Kani in the North Male’ atoll and Finolhu Villas on the island of Gasfinolhu, both in the Maldives, will be promoted as part of the agreement.

Two Palms’ remit includes communications strategy, media relations, corporate communications, issues management, influencer relations, social media and content. Most of all they have been appointed to reinforce the brand’s legacy and establish it as a trustworthy market leader.

Club Med general manager, Rachael Harding, said: “Two Palms impressed with their integrated communications approach, strong social capabilities and track record delivering engaging and successful campaigns in the travel sector.

“In an uncertain international travel market, Two Palms stood out as the perfect agency partner to evolve Club Med’s PR strategy and promote the brand through new and emerging channels.”

Two Palms director, Ed Ringwood, added that the agency will help Club Med meet the changing needs and expectations of travellers.

“The expectations of travellers have changed, and space, especially preserved natural space for social distancing, is going to be an increasing priority. Club Med is uniquely positioned to deliver on that, and we look forward to helping the brand navigate this uncertain chapter, delivering key safety messaging in an engaging way to consumers across Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
