Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa organises blood donation camp

Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa, in collaboration with Maldives Blood Services (MBS) has conducted a blood donation programme. The blood donation camp was held at the resort located in South Male’ Atoll on Saturday, 30^th January 2016.

The entire team of the resort wholeheartedly participated in the initiative and contributed to the noble cause. Hussain Shuaz, human resource supervisor of the resort explained that blood donation camps are held almost every four months since they started in 2014. He also said that there are many upcoming events in the future which will be aimed at serving and contributing to the Maldivian community.

“We’re planning to conduct such activities in the future, especially charity events and blood donation camps in a wider aspect. We want to contribute and serve as much as we can to the Maldivian community,” he said.

“I would also like to highlight and express my gratitude to the staff for their cooperation in the event today and making it a successful event.”

An average of 32 to 60 people donates blood each time, hence making the events a major success.

“Events like this from resorts are a great help to the Maldivian community. Each and every blood donation event is a success with as many as 40 plus donors giving blood”, said Fathmath Nadha Ismail, registered nurse from the Maldives Blood Service.
