Alia Investments and Yamaha strengthen technical expertise in the Maldives with comprehensive training program
Alia Investments, in partnership with Yamaha, has successfully completed the Yamaha Basic and Bronze Level training program, furthering efforts to enhance technical expertise across the Maldives. This initiative, part of the global Yamaha Technical Academy program, aims to equip mechanics nationwide with the skills needed to service Yamaha outboard engines.
The training, which took place from August 24 to September 9, was led by a team of senior Yamaha Certified mechanics. The hands-on sessions targeted mechanics from various agencies and private companies, ensuring they can meet the technical demands of Yamaha outboard engines throughout the country. A total of 63 participants attended the two training batches held during this period.
This year’s program is particularly noteworthy as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the partnership between Yamaha and Alia Investments, a relationship that has flourished for five decades. Over the years, Alia Investments has played a key role in developing local talent in the marine industry by training a significant number of mechanics.
Every Yamaha outboard engine introduced by Alia Investments undergoes rigorous testing in the unique conditions of Maldivian waters. This commitment to quality has earned widespread trust from customers across the Maldives. Alia Investments, the exclusive distributor of Yamaha in the Maldives, also ensures a steady supply of spare parts, reinforcing customer confidence in the brand.
As Yamaha continues to introduce cutting-edge, high-performance products, Alia Investments is dedicated to training more local mechanics to support the industry’s growth. This initiative not only guarantees the reliability of Yamaha products but also contributes to the sustainability of the Maldivian marine industry by empowering local professionals.
