Coco Collection makes key leadership appointments

A truly Maldivian-owned hospitality brand in the Maldives, Coco Collection, has announced key appointments to its leadership team. The brand welcomes Belita Makina as Director of Revenue and Ronalaine Fernandez as Assistant Director of Communications at Coco Collection and embraces Mohamed Sobir as the new Resort Manager at Coco Bodu Hithi.

Belita Makina has made her mark in the hospitality field with a series of notable achievements and advancements in her career in the hospitality industry. With a multidisciplinary experience in Room Division, Front Office and Concierge along with a pivotal transition to Revenue Management in 2017, her reputation for cultivating a revenue-focused mindset has held her senior leadership roles with prestigious international brands during her journey. As Director of Revenue, Belita will draw upon her deep expertise in revenue optimization, market analytics, and strategic forecasting to enhance profitability and drive long-term growth across Coco Collection.

Ronalaine Fernandez’s extensive career in travel and tourism is marked by her service in multiple roles at celebrated hotels and resorts in both the Philippines and the Maldives. Demonstrating initiative and going the extra mile, she has executed successful marketing initiatives that elevated brand awareness and enhanced property visibility. In her new role at Coco Collection, she will manage the resort marketing and communications strategies, with focus on driving business growth and improving brand recognition. She will also manage the distribution of marketing collateral, ensuring that the resort’s messaging is uniform across all advertising and promotional platforms. She enjoys learning a new language on her own and playing the ukulele in her spare time.

Ronalaine

Mohamed Sobir, fondly known as Sobe, is recognized as a key asset to Coco Bodu Hithi and its unwavering commitment to excellence. With two decades of industry experience and refined operational know-how, he has also enjoyed cross-exposure at renowned Four Seasons properties in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Saudi Arabia. Taking on his new role, Sobe will be in charge of all resort operational areas, such as the Front Office, Housekeeping, Transportation, Engineering, and F&B services. His extensive background in these areas, combined with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences, will significantly contribute to Coco Collection’s continued success.
