InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort promotes Nika Kim to Director of Commercial
InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort has announced the promotion of Nika Kim to Director of Commercial, effective September 2025.
Nika brings over nine years of experience in luxury tourism and hospitality, with a strong record of driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and delivering guest experiences across the Maldives and internationally.
Since joining InterContinental Maldives in 2024 as Director of Sales, she has played a central role in strengthening the resort’s market presence and commercial performance. Her leadership has been key in implementing innovative revenue strategies, developing relationships with global partners, and fostering collaboration between commercial and operational teams.
In her new role, Nika will continue to oversee the resort’s commercial division, leading sales and revenue initiatives while working closely with InterContinental’s global and regional leadership to reinforce the property’s position as one of the Maldives’ leading luxury destinations.

Nika has held senior sales and commercial positions at Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, Ayada Maldives, and Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives. Earlier in her career, she gained experience in guest relations and destination management in South Korea. She holds academic qualifications in Education, Law, and Public Administration, and is fluent in Russian, English, and Korean.
Her appointment highlights InterContinental Maldives’ commitment to excellence and its focus on strengthening its reputation as a premier luxury destination in the Maldives.
