The Standard, Maldives appoints Sonika Adlakha as Commercial Director
The Standard, Maldives has announced the appointment of Sonika Adlakha as Commercial Director. In this capacity, she will lead the resort’s sales, marketing, revenue management, and distribution functions, driving strategic growth and enhancing brand visibility across key markets.
With a distinguished career spanning destinations such as India, Oman, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Macau, Adlakha has worked with several globally renowned hospitality brands, including Shangri-La, InterContinental Hotels Group, Las Vegas Sands Corporation, Sun Siyam Resorts, and Outrigger Hospitality Group.
Known for her innovative thinking and results-oriented approach, she has successfully led multiple pre-opening projects and developed strategic initiatives that strengthened brand awareness and market performance.

Adlakha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from M.S. Ramaiah University, Bangalore, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune.
