Atmosphere Core signs four new properties in India
Atmosphere Core has signed four new properties in India as part of its South Asia expansion strategy, adding to its portfolio of hotels and resorts under the Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts brand. The developments, designed around experiential travel, MICE, and distinct city and leisure concepts, will extend the brand to several new destinations across the country.
Commenting on the move, Salil Panigrahi, Managing Director of Atmosphere Core, said: “Alongside a decade of pioneering, award-winning concepts across the Maldives, our team has been planning a strategic response to the growing middle class and economic prosperity witnessed in India today. Equipped with an established portfolio of distinct brands, we firmly believe our entry into India will not only appeal to, but supersede, the parameters of the growing domestic market and introduce relatively unknown landmark locations to a new breed of inbound international tourist.
“This announcement marks another milestone as we move closer to our long-term vision of becoming one of the leading hospitality brands in India. These four latest hotel management agreements take our India portfolio to 16 properties in just a two-year period. Additional sites are under review and multiple future prospects identified, suggesting a very positive outlook for our mission in India.”
In Rajasthan, ARYAVILLE by Atmosphere Jaipur will strengthen the brand’s presence in the state. The resort will offer 244 keys, including cottages and one- and three-bedroom villas with private plunge pools, alongside an artisan bakery, café, lounge and bar.

Atmosphere Kufri, in the Himalayan hill station of Kufri, will comprise 158 deluxe rooms, suites and presidential suites, together with an in-house bakery, lounge and bar. The location provides mountain views and a cooler climate in northern India.

In southern Odisha, PRATYAKSH – An Atmosphere Experience, Chandragiri, will be positioned as a boutique property in the Tibetan cultural town of Chandragiri. The resort will feature 90 keys across cottages, suites, luxury tents and villas, with views of the Eastern Ghats, the Jirang Buddhist Monastery and surrounding greenery.
Atmosphere Jaisalmer, also in Rajasthan, will include 70 cottages, suites, luxury tents and villas. Facilities will include indoor venues, lawns and dedicated meeting spaces designed for MICE, weddings and social gatherings, set within the Thar Desert environment.
