Jumeirah Olhahali Island appoints Carmine Esposito as Executive Chef
Jumeirah Olhahali Island has appointed Carmine Esposito as its new Executive Chef, strengthening the resort’s culinary leadership as it continues to develop its dining offering in the Maldives.
Chef Esposito brings more than 20 years of international experience, having worked across restaurants and luxury hotels in Asia, the Caribbean and South America. His culinary career began in Italy, where early exposure to a family-run kitchen shaped his grounding in classical techniques and respect for tradition, which he has since developed through a global professional journey.
During his time in Asia, kitchens under his leadership received international recognition, including listings in the Michelin Guide. He is known for an approach that prioritises flavour balance and the use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, with menus rooted in established techniques while incorporating contemporary influences.
In his new role, Chef Esposito will oversee the culinary direction of Jumeirah Olhahali Island, leading menu development and dining experiences across the resort. His appointment aligns with Jumeirah’s focus on refining its food and beverage offering while maintaining a strong connection to quality produce and thoughtful execution.
