Pulse Hotels’ Shafraz to join Digital Travel APAC 2026 panel on direct bookings and spend efficiency

Mohamed Shafraz Hafiz, Director of Digital Technology & Marketing at Pulse Hotels & Resorts, will participate in the Digital Travel APAC Summit 2026, taking place on 24–25 March 2026 at Equarius Hotel.

The event is billed by organisers as a regional gathering for digital leaders across travel brands in Asia Pacific, with a programme focused on travel intelligence, customer experience, and commercial execution.

Shafraz will appear on a “Power Panel” session titled: How do you balance marketing spend and guest engagement to maximise direct bookings? The discussion will cover allocating budgets across channels to drive direct bookings while controlling costs, personalising engagement to improve conversion and repeat bookings, and measuring and optimising campaign performance to maximise return on investment.

According to the published agenda, the panel line-up also includes Nisal De Silva (Director, Digital Strategy, MarTech & Automation, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts), Mark Shrives (Vice President Digital, APEC, Marriott International), and Narinthip Chatchaisuwan (Global Director, Digital Marketing, Millennium Hotels and Resorts).

Shafraz has more than 20 years of experience in digital marketing and technology-led commercial strategy for resort portfolios in the Maldives. He was named Marketer of the Year at the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2024.

Across the two days, Digital Travel APAC Summit 2026 is positioned around practical commercial and customer-experience questions for travel brands, with sessions focused on how digital teams are adapting to changing traveller expectations and shifting demand patterns in the region. The programme foregrounds themes such as AI-enabled experiences, direct booking optimisation, and strategies to engage multiple traveller segments more effectively.

The wider agenda also places emphasis on execution—how brands operationalise data and technology to improve performance across the funnel—covering topics including revenue management automation, experience-led loyalty, influencer marketing impact, and building consistent omnichannel guest journeys. The stated intent is to unpack the strategies, technologies and data-led approaches that support profitable growth and stronger customer connection across Asia Pacific and beyond.
