TechEng Expo returns, advancing engineering and technology in hospitality

Following a successful debut, TechEng Expo is set to return for its second edition from 6–8 October 2026 at Central Park, Hulhumalé, reinforcing its position as the Maldives’ leading exhibition dedicated exclusively to engineering and technology solutions for the hospitality sector.

Organised by Omnibox Events, TechEng Expo was launched to address a long-standing gap in the local market—creating a focused platform for the systems, infrastructure, and technologies that power modern hospitality. Building on the strong momentum of its inaugural edition, the event continues to evolve as a specialised B2B marketplace where innovation meets real-world application.

Unlike traditional hospitality exhibitions, TechEng Expo places engineering and operational technologies at the forefront. From energy management and water systems to ELV, ICT infrastructure, automation, and smart digital solutions, the expo brings together the critical components that enable efficient, sustainable, and future-ready hospitality environments.

The upcoming edition, TechEng 2026, will once again connect a targeted audience of resort operators, hotel owners, developers, consultants, and technical decision-makers with leading solution providers from the Maldives and international markets. Designed as a multi-day, business-driven experience, the event facilitates meaningful engagement through exhibitions, networking, and knowledge-sharing.

Reflecting on the success of the first edition, organisers highlighted strong industry participation and a high percentage of decision-makers in attendance—underscoring a clear industry demand for a dedicated platform for engineering and technology within the hospitality space. The inaugural edition attracted over 500 industry attendees and 30+ exhibiting brands, with a strong presence of decision-makers and technical stakeholders, resulting in more than 100 business meetings initiated.

“With TechEng Expo, our goal is to create more than just an exhibition—we are building a platform that supports the long-term development of hospitality infrastructure in the Maldives,” said the organisers. “As resorts continue to invest in smarter, more sustainable operations, the need for specialised engineering and technology solutions has never been greater.”

TechEng 2026 aims to expand its footprint with increased international participation, a broader range of exhibitors, and enhanced opportunities for business collaboration. The event will continue to spotlight emerging technologies and practical solutions that address the evolving needs of the hospitality industry.

As the Maldives strengthens its position as a global tourism leader, platforms like TechEng Expo play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of resort development—where innovation, efficiency, and sustainability go hand in hand.
