Angsana Velavaru hosts Resort League 2026–Dhaalu Zone as football tournament kicks off
Angsana Velavaru has welcomed participating teams, supporters, guests, and team members on Monday as the Resort League 2026–Dhaalu Zone officially commenced at the resort.
As the host venue for this year’s tournament, Angsana Velavaru brought together some of Dhaalu Atoll’s leading resorts for a week-long celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendly competition. The tournament serves as a platform for strengthening relationships within the hospitality industry while showcasing the passion and talent of resort football teams.
The opening day featured two exciting fixtures, with teams from Angsana Velavaru, Baglioni Maldives, St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, and Niyama Private Islands Maldives beginning their quest for the Dhaalu Zone championship.
Representing the host resort is the Orange Army, Angsana Velavaru’s football team, which enters the competition aiming to achieve a remarkable milestone by securing the championship title for a third consecutive year.
