Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa appoints Aminath Nadheema as Executive Housekeeper
Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Aminath Nadheema as its new Executive Housekeeper.
With more than two decades of hospitality experience and a career shaped by passion, perseverance, and leadership, Nadheema joins the resort to lead the housekeeping department and further enhance the guest experience through operational excellence and heartfelt service.
A respected hospitality professional with experience across some of the Maldives’ leading luxury resorts and international destinations, Nadheema’s appointment marks a return to Marriott International. She began her journey with the group in 2006 at W Maldives and now returns with extensive expertise gained through leadership roles at Six Senses Laamu, VARU by Atmosphere, Anantara Dhigu and Anantara Veli, Niyama Private Islands Maldives, and The Westin Doha.
Nadheema’s hospitality career began in 2003 and has been defined by a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences. While her early career focused on guest relations and front-of-house operations, a career development programme within Starwood introduced her to housekeeping, an experience that sparked a passion which would shape the next phase of her career.
Driven by a desire to continue learning and growing, she pursued Housekeeping Management studies at Hotelschool The Hague before progressing into leadership roles within the discipline. Her dedication and expertise led to her promotion as Executive Housekeeper at Niyama Private Islands Maldives, where she became recognised as one of the first female Maldivian Executive Housekeepers in the country’s tourism industry. In recognition of her achievements and contribution to hospitality, she received the Gold Award in Hotel and Hospitality Management at the Professional and Career Woman Awards Maldives in 2021.
Throughout her career, Nadheema has led multicultural teams, managed pre-opening projects, overseen high-occupancy operations, and championed service excellence across luxury resorts. Her leadership philosophy centres on collaboration, empowerment, accountability, and fostering a positive workplace culture where team members can thrive.
“We are delighted to welcome Nadheema to Sheraton Maldives,” said Greg Allan, General Manager of Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa. “Her journey is a testament to dedication, resilience, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Nadheema brings exceptional operational expertise and an inspiring leadership style that aligns perfectly with our people-first culture. We are confident that her experience and vision will further strengthen our commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences while nurturing and empowering our associates.”
For Nadheema, housekeeping is far more than maintaining rooms. It is about creating lasting impressions and meaningful guest experiences.
“I am honoured to join Sheraton Maldives and return to the Marriott family,” said Aminath Nadheema, Executive Housekeeper at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa. “Throughout my career, I have always believed that housekeeping is the heart of a hotel. Every detail, every interaction, and every effort behind the scenes contributes to the memories our guests take home. I look forward to working alongside the team to build a culture of excellence and genuine care, while continuing to create experiences that make every guest feel welcomed and valued.”
Nadheema’s appointment reflects Sheraton Maldives’ ongoing commitment to cultivating talent and inspiring future generations of hospitality professionals. Her journey from a young hospitality enthusiast to an award-winning industry leader serves as a reminder that passion and continuous learning can transform aspirations into achievements.
As she begins this new chapter, Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa said it looks forward to the expertise and positive impact she will bring to both guests and associates.
