Meyyafushi Maldives appoints Asel Sartbaeva as Assistant Director of Sales
The BeKind has appointed Asel Sartbaeva as Assistant Director of Sales at Meyyafushi Maldives, as the recently opened resort works to develop its presence across international markets.
Sartbaeva brings more than 18 years of experience in hospitality, travel sales, business development and account management. In her new role, she will support the resort’s sales strategy, develop relationships with trade partners and help expand its business across key source markets.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Asel Sartbaeva as Assistant Director of Sales at Meyyafushi Maldives,” The BeKind said in announcing the appointment.
“With more than 18 years of international experience in luxury hospitality and travel, Asel brings a wealth of expertise in sales, business development and strategic account management across key global markets. Throughout her career, she has built lasting partnerships, driven commercial growth and represented luxury hospitality brands on the international stage.”
Before joining Meyyafushi Maldives, Sartbaeva served as Senior Sales Manager at Emaar Hospitality Group’s Rove Hotels in Dubai. She joined the brand in 2020 and led leisure sales activities across international markets, managed key accounts, negotiated contracts and represented the company at travel trade events.
Her previous hotel experience includes two years as Sales Executive at Palazzo Versace Dubai, where she worked on market development, corporate and event bookings, and client relationship management.
Sartbaeva also spent eight years working with Al Fanar Luxury Tours, Adonis B2B and Desert Adventures. Her responsibilities included managing business-to-business travel sales, coordinating bookings and developing vendor partnerships across the Commonwealth of Independent States and Latin American markets.
Earlier in her career, she worked as Reservations Manager at Arabian Odyssey Travel, overseeing reservations, itineraries and the sale of travel services. She also served as Sales Manager at Henkel & Ecolab Trade Company.
Her areas of experience include key account development, travel sales and event sales. Sartbaeva holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev.
“Asel’s passion for connecting with people, multicultural perspective and commercial leadership will play an important role as we continue expanding Meyyafushi’s presence around the world while creating unforgettable Moments of Kindness for our guests and partners,” The BeKind said.
Located on a natural island in Lhaviyani Atoll, Meyyafushi Maldives is a five-star Premium All-Inclusive resort approximately 35 minutes by seaplane from Velana International Airport. Its accommodation portfolio comprises villas and suites with private pools, supported by 24-hour dining and a range of leisure facilities.
The resort’s facilities include Bubble Underwater Restaurant, an overwater padel tennis court, mini-bowling lanes, water suites with slides and a rooftop bar featuring a glass-bottom infinity pool and sunken seating. Its dining venues also include Mediterranean and Asian restaurants, teppanyaki, an all-day dining restaurant, a 24-hour café and in-villa dining.
Meyyafushi is the second Maldivian resort under The BeKind, following Fushifaru Maldives, which opened in 2017. The company developed The BeKind as a hospitality group in 2025, bringing its resort, wellness and retail concepts under a platform centred on guests, employees, communities and the environment.
