Gili Lankanfushi appoints Abraham Solanoy Ada as Head Chef of Japanese specialty restaurant
Gili Lankanfushi Maldives has appointed Abraham Solanoy Ada as Head Chef of its Japanese Specialty Restaurant, marking his return to the resort following nine years with its culinary team earlier in his career.
Chef Abraham previously worked at Gili Lankanfushi between 2013 and 2023, progressing from Chef de Partie to Chef de Cuisine during his tenure.
In his new role, he will lead the resort’s Japanese Specialty Restaurant, bringing his experience and knowledge of Japanese cuisine to its dining programme.
Gili Lankanfushi said Chef Abraham’s return represents a new chapter for its culinary team and supports the resort’s focus on developing its gastronomic offering.
His appointment is one of two leadership appointments announced by the resort in September, alongside the appointment of Hussain Adam as Assistant Front Office Manager. Gili Lankanfushi said the appointments form part of its continued focus on attracting experienced hospitality professionals while strengthening guest experience and operational leadership.
The resort said it continues to invest in experienced professionals while fostering a culture of learning, collaboration and development across its teams.
Located in North Malé Atoll, Gili Lankanfushi comprises 45 overwater villas, including seven Crusoe Residences and The Private Reserve, and is around 20 minutes by speedboat from Malé.
