InterContinental Maldives celebrates travel partners during Global Customer Appreciation Week

InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort marked Global Customer Appreciation Week with an intimate evening in Malé, bringing together valued travel partners from leading travel agencies and destination management companies across the capital.

Held at Meeruma on 16 September, the gathering offered an opportunity to step away from the pace of everyday business and celebrate the relationships that connect the resort with its partners. Guests enjoyed light refreshments and canapés, alongside a lively Kahoot challenge with prizes, followed by curated gifts as a gesture of appreciation.

For InterContinental Maldives, the evening was centred on something simple: the people behind the partnerships.

“Hospitality has always been about people, and the same is true of the partnerships behind our business,” said Nika Kim, Director of Commercial at InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort. “Some of our strongest relationships with travel partners have been built over many years, through shared opportunities, challenges and successes. Global Customer Appreciation Week gives us a wonderful opportunity to celebrate those connections, express our appreciation and spend time with the people who continue to be part of our journey.”

“For us, these relationships go far beyond individual bookings or business results. Great business may begin with an opportunity, but it grows through trust, connection, and the people behind it.”

The evening formed part of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts’ wider Global Customer Appreciation Week, an initiative that recognises the importance of the relationships at the heart of hospitality. At InterContinental Maldives, that spirit extends beyond the guest experience to the travel partners and local community who help bring the resort’s story to travellers around the world.

Located in Raa Atoll, InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort is the Maldives’ first all-Club InterContinental resort, offering a collection of beach and overwater villas, personalised Club InterContinental service, and experiences shaped by the natural surroundings of the island.
