Souvenir Marine continues as Transport Partner of Hotelier Maldives GM Forum 2026

Hotelier Maldives has announced Souvenir Marine as the Transport Partner of the Hotelier Maldives General Managers (GM) Forum 2026, continuing a four-year partnership supporting transport logistics for the publication’s flagship industry events.

The 10th edition of the GM Forum will be held on 5 October at CROSSROADS Maldives under the theme “Resilience and Reinvention: Talent, Technology & Transformation.” The forum will bring together resort general managers, owners, senior executives, government representatives and industry partners to discuss the operational and strategic issues shaping the future of tourism and hospitality in the Maldives.

Souvenir Marine has maintained a longstanding relationship with Hotelier Maldives, serving as Transport Partner for the GM Forum in 2023, 2024 and 2025, as well as for the Hotelier Maldives Awards in 2024 and 2026. Its partnership for the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2026 earlier this year marked the fourth year the company has supported transport logistics for Hotelier Maldives’ major industry events.

The company will now continue that role at GM Forum 2026, supporting the transportation requirements associated with bringing delegates and participants to the forum venue.

Amjad Ismail, Managing Director of Souvenir Marine, said the continued partnership reflects the company’s close connection with the tourism sector and its commitment to supporting platforms that bring hospitality professionals together.

“Our relationship with Hotelier Maldives over the past four years has given us the opportunity to support events that bring together many of the people who lead and contribute to the country’s tourism industry. Marine transportation is an integral part of hospitality in an island nation, and we understand the importance of reliability, coordination and service in ensuring smooth travel. We are pleased to once again serve as Transport Partner for GM Forum 2026 and look forward to supporting the delegates attending this year’s event,” he said.

Established in 1994 as a tourist gift shop in Malé, Souvenir Marine later expanded into speedboat transportation, providing marine transfer services for the tourism industry. The company currently operates a fleet of around 40 speedboats, with transfers primarily connecting Velana International Airport and domestic airports with resorts across the Maldives.

Marine transportation remains an essential component of the country’s tourism infrastructure, with resorts spread across islands and atolls and relying on coordinated transfers for guests, employees, supplies and operational requirements.

Ali Naafiz, Editor of Hotelier Maldives, said Souvenir Marine’s continued involvement has helped Hotelier Maldives manage an important logistical component of its events over several years.

“Souvenir Marine has been a dependable partner of Hotelier Maldives across both the GM Forum and Hotelier Maldives Awards. In an industry where marine transport is fundamental to almost every aspect of resort connectivity, their experience and understanding of hospitality logistics have made them a valuable partner for our events. We appreciate their continued support over the past four years and are pleased to welcome Souvenir Marine back as Transport Partner for the 10th edition of the GM Forum,” he added.

Earlier this year, Souvenir Marine served as Transport Partner for the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2026, held on 26 April at NIVA Kurumba Maldives. Now in its third edition, the awards recognise individuals, teams and programmes working across the Maldivian tourism industry.

The GM Forum serves a complementary role within Hotelier Maldives’ industry platform by providing senior hospitality leaders with an annual setting to discuss issues affecting resort operations and the broader tourism sector.

Launched in 2016, the forum reaches its 10th edition this year. The 2026 theme, “Resilience and Reinvention: Talent, Technology & Transformation,” will examine how hospitality businesses are responding to changes in workforce requirements, technology, automation and operating conditions, while exploring approaches to strengthening organisational resilience.

A range of companies serving different areas of the tourism and hospitality industry have partnered with GM Forum 2026.

Dhiraagu is the Premier Sponsor, while STO Energy is the Platinum Sponsor. Bank of Maldives is the Banking Partner and Male’ Aerated Water Company is the Beverage Partner.

The Silver Sponsors are Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), Villa Hakatha, Bestbuy Maldives (BBM), Dhivehi Insurance and Atoll Solar.

ALIA, Uniforms Unlimited, Maldives Insider and Blue N White are supporting the forum as Associate Sponsors.

Souvenir Marine is the Transport Partner, Manta Air is the Aviation Partner, and Storm Events is the Organising Partner.

Through these partnerships, GM Forum 2026 will bring together resort leaders and businesses supporting the hospitality sector for discussions on the operational challenges, emerging opportunities and transformations shaping the future of tourism in the Maldives.
