MIC Group marks World Mental Health Day with staff awareness session

MIC Group marked World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2026 with a staff awareness session initiated and led by Group General Manager Ali Shakir.

The session highlighted the importance of kindness, listening without judgement and encouraging open conversations so that colleagues feel comfortable seeking support. Participants were also encouraged to incorporate movement and physical activity into their daily routines as a positive way to support wellbeing and take a break from everyday worries.

An open-floor question-and-answer session gave colleagues an opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with Shakir on the topics discussed.

“A caring workplace begins with how we treat one another every day. Taking time to listen, checking in on a colleague and making room for honest conversations all matter. We want our people to feel heard and to know that reaching out for help will be met with kindness and understanding,” said Ali Shakir, Group General Manager of MIC Group.

The initiative reflects MIC Group’s commitment to employee wellbeing and to encouraging a workplace where support is accessible and conversations about mental health are welcomed.
