CROSSROADS Maldives, the country’s premier multi-island destination known for its integrated offerings at The Marina and three world-class resorts, has announced key leadership changes within its Executive Committee, effective from 01 September 2024.

These internal transfers and reassignments reflect CROSSROADS Maldives’ commitment to fostering homegrown talent and empowering individuals to grow both personally and professionally. The changes are also part of a larger strategy to strengthen the leadership structure and ensure continued success across its flagship properties—SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton, and Hard Rock Hotel Maldives. These award-winning resorts, recognised for their distinctive offerings and exceptional guest experiences, will benefit from the fresh perspectives of experienced leaders stepping into new roles.

Abdulla Mufeed, a distinguished hospitality professional, has transitioned to the role of Assistant General Manager at SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton, after successfully holding the same position at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives.

Mufeed’s transfer to SAii Lagoon Maldives marks another milestone in his 25-year career in the hospitality industry. His journey to success is a testament to hard work and perseverance, beginning as a Receptionist in 1999 and steadily climbing the ranks to hold leadership positions at well-established resorts in the Maldives, including Four Seasons, One&Only, and Coco Collection. His six-year tenure at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives played a crucial role in shaping resort operations and ensuring guest satisfaction. His move to SAii Lagoon Maldives underscores his ongoing contributions to the growth of CROSSROADS Maldives’ luxury properties.

Frederic Lebegue, General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, praised Mufeed’s contributions, stating, “Mufeed has been an integral part of our Band (Team). His leadership, combined with his dedication to guest service, has greatly influenced Hard Rock Hotel Maldives’ success. His passion for hospitality will undoubtedly shine at SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton. We are also excited to welcome Mohamed Adil and look forward to the new energy and innovation his leadership will bring to Hard Rock Hotel Maldives.”

Meanwhile, Mohamed Adil has assumed the role of Resort Manager at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, moving from his previous position as Assistant General Manager at The Marina at CROSSROADS Maldives, where he excelled in overseeing operational aspects. His new role offers the opportunity to expand his leadership in resort management, bringing his valuable operational insight to the forefront.

Adil’s hospitality career spans over two decades, during which he has held key positions at leading international hotel chains such as Four Seasons, Hilton, and Minor, as well as prominent local resort brands in the Maldives. His experience extends beyond the Maldives, with notable exposure in Qatar and Malaysia. Adil’s diverse background will undoubtedly serve him well in his new role, where his leadership will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the vibrant, music-infused atmosphere that Hard Rock Hotel Maldives is known for.

Commenting on the leadership changes, Alexander Traeger, General Manager at SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton and CROSSROADS Marina, stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Mufeed to the SAiiLanders family. With his wealth of experience and deep understanding of resort operations, I am confident that he will play a key role in driving the continued success and growth of SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton. Likewise, we are equally proud to see Adil take on an expanded role at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives. Having been an integral part of our team, we are certain Adil will excel in this new role and lead with distinction.”
