Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa announces the appointment of Ajay Jawahar Sharma as the new Director of Operations, effective September 2024.
Ajay Jawahar Sharma joins Sheraton Maldives with an impressive 18-year career in the hospitality industry, including six years with Marriott International. Prior to this appointment, Sharma served as the Executive Assistant Manager at W Goa, where his tenure began as the B&F Operation Manager and progressed to roles such as Assistant Director of B&F and Director of B&F.
Sharma’s career features notable positions with renowned hospitality brands, including InterContinental Hotel Group, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, and Kempinski Hotels. His extensive experience highlights his success in various leadership roles and his ability to drive excellence in high-profile establishments.
In his new role, Sharma will oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations, ensuring that Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa continues to deliver the high standards of service and exceptional guest experiences for which it is renowned.

Sharma holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Meerut in India and has further refined his expertise through various training programs and certifications. In addition to his professional achievements, he is a passionate cricket enthusiast who enjoys both playing and watching the sport. Sharma also has a keen interest in traveling, learning about different cultures, and meeting new people.
