Anantara and Naladhu Maldives to welcome two-star Michelin Chef Heiko Neider

Two-star Michelin Chef Heiko Neider will be making a one-night guest chef appearance on February 22 at the Naladhu Maldives Resort.
According to a press release from Anantara, guests at Naladhu, Anantara Dhigu and Anantara Veli Resort & Spa in South Male’ Atoll will have the opportunity to feast on an exquisite eight-course tasting menu exclusively at the The Living Room in Naladhu.
“Having watched documentaries on Chef Heiko, I admire his dedication to perfection, being under pressure every day to deliver a two-star Michelin experience,” said Torsten Richter, Cluster General Manager of Naladhu and Anantara Resorts in South Male Atoll.
“Chef Heiko has a contemporary plating style, which is in keeping with the elegant surrounds of The Living Room and sophistication of Naladhu. It is an honour for us that Chef Heiko will be making this special appearance, cooking exclusively for just 16 guests. It will be truly a memorable evening, and one which places The Maldives high on the international map for culinary excellence.”
Chef Heiko was awarded two Michelin stars in 2011 for his work at The Restaurant in The Dolder Grand, Zurich. The Gault Millau followed in 2012.
In 2014, Gault Millau Germany and “Le Grand Chef du Guide Bleu” by Guide Bleu 2014/15 awarded Chef Heiko the titles of “Best German Chef abroad” for his culinary creations.
After training at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, Heiko Nieder joined the Le Canard Josef Viehhauser in Hamburg in 1994.
In 1995, he transferred to the Zur Traube for Dieter L. Kaufmann, Grevenbroich. In 1997 he joined Vau in Berlin. In 2002, he came as a chef in the l’ Orquivit in Bonn, where he earned his first Michelin star in 2005.
