Atmosphere Core, a leading hospitality company, has announced the promotion of Krishna P. Chalise to the position of Senior Vice President Projects, marking a significant step in the company’s ongoing leadership evolution. In this new role, Chalise will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end development and execution of all projects across the Maldives, a region central to the company’s growth strategy.
“Krishna has played a pivotal role in resort development projects for us,” stated Salil Panigrahi, Group Managing Director of Atmosphere Core. “He possesses a deep understanding of the Maldivian terrain and consistently delivers large-scale, complex projects in a cost-effective manner, often ahead of schedule. This promotion acknowledges his outstanding achievements and reflects a strategic decision to leverage his leadership as we continue expanding across the Indian Ocean.”
With over two decades of experience in hospitality development in both the Maldives and Nepal, Chalise is widely recognised as a visionary project leader known for turning bold concepts into world-class resorts. His expertise encompasses the entire project lifecycle—from conceptualisation and planning to design, execution, and timely delivery—while maintaining a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and cost optimisation.
A foundational member of Atmosphere Core, Chalise has led the successful completion of more than a dozen resort developments in the Maldives, representing close to half a billion dollars in investment. He has demonstrated a strong ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and deliver high-impact, financially viable developments. By focusing on market research, design optimisation, and value engineering, he has achieved significant cost savings while upholding the highest standards of quality and enabling early resort openings.
Commenting on his promotion, Chalise expressed gratitude, saying that success requires honesty and dedication in the present. He described the new role as both an honour and a responsibility and reaffirmed his commitment to helping the company build inspiring, sustainable, and guest-centric resorts that redefine experiential travel in the Maldives.
