Atmosphere Core strengthens leadership with key internal promotions

Following a series of key C-suite appointments, the hospitality group Atmosphere Core has announced several senior executive promotions spanning Learning & Development, Contracting, Revenue, Sales & Marketing, and Finance. These advancements underscore the company’s ongoing dedication to nurturing internal talent and enhancing operational excellence throughout South Asia and the Maldives.

Dr Annepaul Vemagiri has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Learning and Development. In this vital role, she will continue to promote a culture of learning and excellence across all properties and corporate teams throughout South Asia, including the Maldives, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Nepal. An award-winning professional and published author of six books, Dr Vemagiri brings over 27 years of experience in the hospitality sector—14 years in academia and 13 in hotel operations training. She is widely recognised for her exemplary leadership and ability to deliver impactful learning initiatives.

Masol Tamayo has been appointed Assistant Vice President of Contracting. A long-standing member of the Atmosphere family since its inception, Tamayo has played a crucial role in establishing the company’s contracting framework as its portfolio has expanded. With her deep expertise in hospitality sales and contracting, she will now spearhead all contracting operations in the Maldives, further strengthening the company’s commercial partnerships.

Irshaad Mohideen, formerly Director of Revenue for THE OZEN COLLECTION, has been elevated to Assistant Vice President of Revenue, overseeing the Atmosphere Core Maldives portfolio. With over nine years of experience across sales, digital marketing, and revenue management, Mohideen brings a strategic, data-driven mindset to revenue optimisation efforts. He played a pivotal role in launching THE OZEN COLLECTION and has successfully led complex cluster operations, consistently demonstrating agility, determination, and a strong understanding of market dynamics.

N. Manikandan has been promoted to Assistant Vice President – Finance. With nearly two decades of international experience in hospitality and resort development, Manikandan will now oversee financial operations across the Maldives, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Nepal. His robust financial acumen is expected to contribute significantly to the group’s continued growth and operational efficiency.

Falaaz Ismail, who currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Sales for THE OZEN COLLECTION, has been entrusted with expanded responsibilities and has been redesignated as Assistant Vice President of Sales and Marketing. With over 20 years of experience in luxury hospitality, Ismail has been instrumental in the brand’s progress since joining Atmosphere Group in March 2021. His leadership in building and managing high-performing sales teams continues to elevate the group’s market positioning and brand visibility.
