ATMOSPHER_KANIFUSHIThe Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives has earned the number one spot in the top ten listing of all-inclusive resorts in the Maldives by Thomas Cook Intercontinental.

“This is a great recognition indeed,” said Dinesh Bhaskar, director of sales and marketing at the Atmosphere Kanifushi Resort.

The five-star Atmosphere Kanifushi opened for business in December 2013 and is located in Lhaviyani Atoll, a 30-minute seaplane transfer from the Male’ international airport.

The Kanifushi Island is 2km in length and 90 meters in width, making it one of the longest resorts in the Maldives. The island is surrounded by long uninterrupted stretches of pristine beach and a large natural coral reef.

The resort offers a unique exclusive “premium all-inclusive” holiday plan and features some of the largest beach villas (100 square meters) and sunset family villas (200 square meters) in the Maldives.

Each villa is separated by a few meters of tropical vegetation to assure privacy for guests.

Kanifushi also boasts the first pure vegetarian a la carte restaurant as well as the first full-sized 50-meter swimming pool in the Maldives.

The Thomas Cook Group is meanwhile one of the oldest and best-known names in leisure travel and serves 23 million customers.

Other all-inclusive resorts in the German corporation’s top ten were Constance Moofushi in second place, Lily Beach Resort & Spa in third place, and Vivanta Coral Reef by Taj in fourth place.

Lux Maldives came in fifth place, followed by Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa, Diamond Ahuruga/Diamond Thudufushi, Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa, Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa and the  Kihaad Maldives
