Bank of Maldives invites NGOs to apply for Bank Fund 2026 grants
Bank of Maldives (BML) on Wednesday announced the opening of applications for the Bank Fund 2026, its annual grant programme designed to support registered NGOs across the Maldives to deliver sustainable, community-focused projects.
Now in its third consecutive year, the Bank Fund will award MVR 200,000 each to five selected projects under the thematic pillars of education, environment, sports and community development. The initiative reaffirms the Bank’s long-standing commitment to fostering inclusive growth and strengthening civil society throughout the country.

The Bank Fund reflects our dedication to enabling local organisations to turn their innovative ideas into tangible benefits for their communities. We are proud to see the meaningful difference this fund has already made and look forward to supporting another cohort of impactful, sustainability-driven initiatives in 2026,” said Mohamed Shareef, CEO and Managing Director of Bank of Maldives.
Since its launch, the Bank Fund has supported nine NGOs in carrying out diverse projects that address local needs.
Registered NGOs and Clubs in the Maldives are invited to submit their completed application forms and project proposals via email to bankfund@bml.com.mv. Submissions must be received no later than 2:00pm on Sunday, 14th June 2026.
