Bank of Maldives opens seven new branches across the country

Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened seven branches, reinforcing its commitment to expanding access to banking services across the Maldives. The branches were formally inaugurated Wednesday morning President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

The newly opened branches are located in:

  • HA. Hoarafushi
  • Sh. Kanditheemu
  • R. Alifushi
  • Lh. Hinnavaru
  • ADh. Maamigili
  • L. Maavah
  • GA. Gemanafushi

With this expansion, Bank of Maldives now operates 55 branches across all 20 atolls, including 17 branches opened over the past two years, reflecting the Bank’s sustained investment in nationwide access to financial services.

Speaking at Wednesday’s event, the Bank’s CEO and Managing Director, Mohamed Shareef, said “At Bank of Maldives, we reinvest our growth to expand our reach and deepen our presence in the communities we serve. Our strong financial performance allows us to continue investing in our nationwide network, bringing banking services closer to every Maldivian and ensuring that individuals and businesses across the country have convenient access to the financial services they need to grow and thrive.”
