Barceló Hotels appoints Ishara Karunaratne as cluster Reservations and Revenue Manager for Maldives operations
Barceló Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Ishara Karunaratne as the new Cluster Reservations and Revenue Manager for its operations in the Maldives. With a decade-long career in the hospitality industry, Ishara brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role, where he is expected to drive strategic growth and optimise revenue.
In this role, Ishara will be responsible for overseeing the reservations and revenue management strategies across multiple Barceló properties. He will leverage his extensive background to enhance operational efficiencies and maximise profitability. His career began in Sales and Marketing, later transitioning to Revenue Management roles at Reethi Beach Resort in Baa Atoll, Maldives, Centara Hotels & Resorts, and Onyx Hospitality. Additionally, he has held significant cluster positions in Sri Lanka. Ishara’s skills in Creative Design, Digital Marketing, and Web Development are expected to be additional assets to the resort.
