Canareef Resort Maldives appoints Shizmee Amir as Logistic and Transport Manager

Canareef Resort Maldives has appointed Shizmee Amir as its new Logistic and Transport Manager.

Shizmee brings over 13 years of experience in the Maldivian tourism and hospitality sector to his role. Shizmee is focused on optimising guest experiences through efficient transport and logistics.

Prior to his current position, Shizmee served as Assistant Reservations Manager at Canareef Resort Maldives. In this capacity, he was responsible for streamlining booking processes, managing guest inquiries, coordinating with travel agents, and ensuring efficient reservation flows. His work contributed to improving the reservation team’s service standards and the pre-arrival guest experience.

Shizmee’s career includes positions at resorts managed by Centara, Anantara, Robinson Club, and Outrigger. His responsibilities have covered reservations, transport coordination, guest services, and front office supervision. His roles at Robinson Club Noonu and Robinson Club Maldives provided opportunities to develop his logistical and guest service skills within luxury operations.

At Canareef, Shizmee is spearheading initiatives to enhance guest transportation using technology-driven solutions. These include a digital buggy request system, the revision of driver licensing protocols, and infrastructure upgrades. The objectives are to optimise internal mobility and improve the overall guest experience within the resort.

Throughout his career, Shizmee has led the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across various departments and introduced safety measures for both buggy and marine transport systems. A significant achievement includes the development and rollout of an internal licensing program to certify vehicle operators within the resort, demonstrating a commitment to safety, accountability, and operational improvement.
