CROSSROADS Maldives hosts inclusive event in collaboration with Maldives Autism Association

CROSSROADS Maldives, the nation’s first multi-integrated destination, collaborated with the Maldives Autism Association (MAA) to host a vibrant, inclusive event for children on the autism spectrum on 3rd May 2025. The MAA, established on January 21, 2010, provides essential educational and therapeutic services to children with autism spectrum disorder across the Maldives.

Leaders at CROSSROADS Maldives warmly welcomed the young participants, along with their dedicated parents and teachers, for a specially designed experience that honoured neurodiversity, fostered inclusion, and created lasting memories. The event began with a guided tour of the Maldives Discovery Centre, offering an interactive and educational exploration into the country’s rich culture, heritage, marine biodiversity, and pressing environmental issues.

Following the educational segment, the group proceeded to the CROSSROADS Marquee, an open-air event space overlooking the ocean, where a variety of engaging activities awaited them. Guests enjoyed henna art, face painting, inflatable playgrounds, and other fun-filled games, creating an atmosphere of joy, learning, and community connection.

A member of the Green Globe community, CROSSROADS Maldives emphasises corporate social responsibility as a key pillar of its operations. The integrated destination actively supports sustainable tourism through various CSR initiatives and maintains strong ties with the local community. Sustainability principles are seamlessly integrated into both daily operations and long-term planning across its two world-class resorts: Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton.
