Dhiraagu hands over second speedboat to grand prize winner
Dhiraagu has officially handed over the second and final speedboat to the lucky winner of its exciting ‘Win 2 Speedboats’ promotion.
At a special ceremony held at the Al Shaali Marine boatyard, the grand prize, an Al Shaali Marine Canary 28 sports speedboat powered by a Yamaha 250HP outboard engine, was presented to the lucky winner, Mohamed Yoosuf of K. Malé. The speedboat was handed over by Dhiraagu’s CEO and MD, Ismail Rasheed.
Reflecting on the moment he received the news that he had won the grand prize, Yoosuf said it was a truly joyful and memorable moment for both him and his family. Having been a loyal Dhiraagu customer since the early days of fixed line telephone services, and a Dhiraagu Mobile customer for the past 28 years, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Dhiraagu for giving customers the opportunity to win such valuable prizes.
The ‘Win 2 Speedboats’ promotion, which began in August 2025, gave both existing and new Dhiraagu Prepaid, Postpaid and Fibre Broadband customers the opportunity to win one of two brand-new sports speedboats. The promotion received an overwhelmingly positive response from customers across the Maldives, generating widespread excitement and strong participation throughout the campaign. Customers who met the qualifying criteria and enrolled before 31 March 2026 were entered into the lucky draw. Earlier this year, Abdulla Saeed was announced as the winner of the first speedboat.
