Four Seasons Maldives opens recruitment for 2027 Hospitality Apprenticeship class

The Four Seasons Maldives Hospitality Apprenticeship Programme, established in 2001, continues to stand as the country’s longest running and most successful hospitality apprenticeship initiative. By 2026, the programme will have supported more than one thousand graduates, many of whom now serve in supervisory and managerial positions across leading resorts in the Maldives and overseas. It remains one of the most established routes for Maldivian youth seeking professional skills, confidence and long-term career development in the hospitality sector.

Accredited by the Government of Maldives since 2010, the programme blends practical, hands-on training with structured weekly classes delivered by experienced professionals at both Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa and Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. Apprentices train in a wide range of disciplines, including food preparation, food and beverage service, marine biology, PADI Divemaster training, watersports, retail, resort photography, housekeeping and guest services, and safe maritime transport, among others.

Each apprentice is provided with room and board, a monthly stipend, mentorship and a supportive environment designed to help them build technical and personal skills.

Alongside the one-year core apprenticeship, selected graduates from the first year are invited to continue into the Second Year Apprenticeship, specialising in front office and recreation, engineering and reservations. For those demonstrating exceptional potential in technical fields, an Advanced Engineering Programme is available for third-year apprentices, offering further development in an area of growing demand across the industry.

Four Seasons Maldives is now preparing to welcome its Class of 2027. Recruitment and screening for the new intake will take place in Malé on Thursday, 27 November 2025, at 9:00am at SHE Building, Buruzu Hall (3rd Floor). Additional recruitment sessions will be held across various islands over the coming months.

The programme team has encouraged the public to share this opportunity with young Maldivians who may be looking to begin a career in hospitality. Updates, session announcements and behind-the-scenes content from the apprenticeship can be found on Instagram.

Four Seasons Maldives has stated its willingness to provide supporting visuals, interviews, quotes and further background information to media or interested parties, as part of its continued effort to bring meaningful career pathways closer to Maldivian youth.
