InterContinental Maldives unveils exclusive teens programme with culinary, water sports, and marine adventures
The InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort has introduced its first-ever dedicated teens programme, offering young guests a curated selection of enriching, exploratory, and exciting experiences. From honing culinary skills in interactive cooking classes to earning water sports certifications and discovering the vibrant marine life, the programme provides numerous opportunities for teens to uncover new passions and create lasting memories.
One highlight of the programme is the culinary adventures, where teens can explore their inner chef through the Culinary Masters series. These experiences range from basic cooking techniques to creating sophisticated dishes and local favourites. Sessions start at $45, while complimentary masterclasses on mocktails and iced teas are available at the pool bar.
For water sports enthusiasts, the Water Binders programme allows teens to earn certifications and master exhilarating activities such as diving, sailing, Catamaran sailing, and motorised water sports, all under the guidance of an expert crew. The expansive lagoon around Maamunagau Island, rich with marine life, offers plenty of opportunities for adventure. Complimentary snorkelling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and windsurfing are available, while private snorkelling lessons and guided tours start at $50 for a more personalised experience.
Teens interested in marine life can attend the Manta Tea Talk sessions or engage in hands-on conservation efforts through the Climate Warriors activities, combining education and fun. A variety of fitness classes and sports activities, including teen-focused workouts, yoga, dance, aqua aerobics, a teens-only fishing trip with a local crew, and island BBQs, add to the excitement.
Additionally, the programme offers spa experiences, music lessons with local drumming experts, arts and crafts, and movie nights.
