JEN Maldives Malé concludes Ramadan Iftar distribution initiative
In observance of the generosity and compassion that define the holy month of Ramadan, JEN Maldives Malé by Shangri-La successfully concluded its Ramadan Iftar distribution initiative, extending support and nourishment to the local community in Malé.
The initiative was carried out in partnership with MU Store, reflecting a shared commitment to community engagement and the spirit of giving that is central to Ramadan.
Colleagues from across the hotel, representing different departments, came together to prepare and distribute Iftar meal packages at key locations across the city, exemplifying the hotel’s strong culture of collaboration, service, and care. Meals were delivered to prominent areas where residents gather at sunset to break their fast, including the Islamic Centre and King Salman Mosque. The initiative allowed everyone, including those away from home, to partake in the shared tradition of Iftar.
Guided by the spirit of Shangri-La’s “Do Good,” a fundamental quality of character that inspires meaningful contributions to the community, the initiative reflected the collective dedication of the JEN Maldives team.
By providing Iftar meals throughout the month, JEN Maldives sought to honour the essence of Ramadan by fostering a sense of inclusion, solidarity, and compassion within the community. The initiative not only provided nourishment but also strengthened the bonds between the hotel and community.
Through initiatives such as this, JEN Maldives Malé by Shangri-La continues to embrace the belief that hospitality extends beyond welcoming guests; it also involves making a positive impact on the communities it serves. The successful conclusion of the Ramadan Iftar distribution underscores the hotel’s ongoing commitment to purposeful engagement and the enduring values of generosity and unity inspired by the holy month.
