
Jumeirah Olhahali Island appoints Surath Wickremasinghe as new Director of Food & Beverage
Jumeirah Olhahali Island has announced the appointment of Surath Wickremasinghe as the new Director of Food & Beverage. Bringing with him over 16 years of experience in luxury hospitality, Wickremasinghe joins the all-villa resort after holding prominent roles with renowned international brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Fairmont, Mövenpick, and Shangri-La. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in enhancing guest experiences and achieving operational excellence.
In his new role at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, Wickremasinghe will oversee culinary operations across six unique venues, including the Japanese-Peruvian fusion at Kayto, the Mediterranean-inspired beachside dining at Shimmers, and the globally curated offerings at Glow. He will also spearhead the creation of bespoke dining experiences such as private sandbank dinners and interactive masterclasses, working closely with the culinary team to elevate the resort’s award-winning cuisine. Additionally, he will focus on enhancing the resort’s beverage programming, aiming to enrich its mixology offerings in line with the island’s relaxed yet refined ambiance.
