Lily Hotels appoints Chloe Esme as Director of Sales & Marketing for UK and Europe

Lily Hotels, the owner and operator of Lily Beach Resort & Spa and Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa, has announced the appointment of Chloe Esme as Director of Sales & Marketing for the UK and Europe. With over twenty years of experience in the Maldives’ luxury hospitality sector, Chloe brings a strong foundation of expertise, deep market insight, and a genuine connection to the destination.

Over the past two decades, Chloe has worked across both resort and tour operator segments, developing a versatile background in sales, marketing, resort operations, guest experience, and leadership. Having visited close to one hundred island resorts, she possesses a unique appreciation for the individuality of each property and an ability to connect meaningfully with both partners and guests.

Speaking about her new role, Chloe said, “Lily Hotels stood out to me for being authentically Maldivian, rooted in the country’s hospitality heritage. I was drawn to that sincerity, the warmth of the people, and the pride in creating meaningful guest experiences with a true sense of place.”

In her position, Chloe will focus on strengthening Lily Hotels’ presence across key European markets by building strategic partnerships and refining the brand narrative for both Lily Beach and Hideaway. Her efforts will centre on elevating brand positioning, increasing visibility, and deepening engagement with trade partners and travellers.

At Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa, she plans to highlight the Signature Collection, award-winning sports facilities, and renowned house reef, while at Lily Beach, she will promote the resort’s Platinum Plan, family-friendly offerings, and vibrant marine environment.

Reflecting on changing travel preferences, Chloe observed that guests now seek individuality, space, and emotional connection over traditional notions of luxury. “The Maldives is perfectly positioned for this shift,” she noted. “Travellers are increasingly value-conscious yet experience-driven, and Lily Hotels, with its authenticity and heart, represents exactly what today’s guests are looking for.”

Her approach is guided by a simple philosophy: “Relationships are everything. Whether it’s a guest, a trade partner, or a team member, the most successful outcomes come from mutual trust, shared passion, and belief.”
