LOAMA SPA

Loama Resort Maldives launches their new over-water spa. Developed by Barry Warrington of IS Wellness, the Spa is built on land with the treatment rooms extending out over water and stretches over an area of 469 square meters.

Situated facing southeast, the spa has an infinite view of the sunset every day. This latest introduction of a wellness center at Loama Resort Maldives also comes with private overwater spa pavilions fitted with glass floors overlooking the lagoon.

“Loama Spa is, to the best of my knowledge, the first modern Maldivian spa concept that has a claim to authenticity and a cultural focus,” Warrington said.

“We began the project with exhaustive research on the history of this seafaring nation, the various influences, trade routes, traditional herbal cures and various treatments dating back to antiquity, “ he added. “From that research, we were able to create a unique product range under the Loama Spa brand. And the experiences are delivered by highly-trained Maldivians,” said Warrington.

Treatments offered at the Loama Spa include Maldivian, Swedish and Thai massages as well as treatments using Accupressure techniques.
